So good! I used red lentils in the mix and, as usual, they disintegrated and thickened it nicely.

Well THIS doesn’t usually happen !! I usually spend at least a half-hour reviewing recipes, BUT today your recipe was my first pick AND a KEEPER !!! Used to do the “simmer-for-hours” method especially wintertime, but I appreciate this slow-cooker method. I’ve moved and obviously put a pack of fave recipes in that “special place I won’t forget” HaHa.

Anyway, thanks for a great recipe plus notes. I like to put in a sliced green apple for some sweetness, and a 15 oz. can of fire-roasted diced tomatoes (subtracting some water /broth to compensate). Have a really nice day !!
